Evra Wary of Chelsea

Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra admits Chelsea will be motivated not to end their season trophyless for next week's Champions League final.

"They didn't win the league, they won't want to end the season trophyless and, above all, allow us to win two," he told L'Equipe. "But we have no intention of giving them anything."

The France international also claims that being pushed to the wire in the league by the Londoners actually helped Sir Alex Ferguson's side remain focused for the last few games of the season.

"It could have had an inverse effect," he said. "It could have given us an excess of confidence before this last game as, for us, everything would have been wrapped up. We were already thinking about the Champions League. We just needed to be professionals.

"That's why our joy is somewhat contained because there is still something left right at then end, something very big."
