Evra: we lacked Spirit

Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has questioned the team's attitude after they were eclipsed by Liverpool at Anfield.

Evra was left frustrated at the manner of United's first defeat in 12 games in all competitions. Goals from a fit-again Fernando Torres and substitute David Ngog in the second half ended a run of four losses for Liverpool.

Five out for Moscow

Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra, Ji-sung Park and Darren Fletcher will all miss United's Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.

The five players - many of them probable starters in Sir Alex Ferguson's strongest line-up - were absent from the squad flying out of Manchester on Monday afternoon.

Evra on Fitness Trail

Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra were not risked for United’s 1-0 win over West Ham as Sir Alex wasn't prepared to chance their fitness.

Rooney has struggled with a hamstring injury since hobbling off against Wigan on 14 January, while Evra injured his ankle against Chelsea three days previously.

Quadruple still on

Ryan Giggs and his Manchester United team-mates may still believe they can win teh quadruple!

United are still in it to win it in the FA Cup and Champions league, whilst they top the Premier League adn are in the final of the Carling Cup!
