RANGNICK TO END UNITED MANAGERIAL CAREER

  • 2 June 2022

Ex-RB Leipzig and TSG Hoffenheim boss Ralf Rangnick will end his short managerial career at Manchester United when he takes the first team to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Rangnick was named the interim manager at Manchester United towards the end of last year.

The Crystal Palace game would be the last one for Rangnick as the interim manager at Old Trafford having replaced Michael Carrick who was the caretaker manager. Carrick managed the first team for three games shortly after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked at the end of November. Ironically, Rangnick was the Manchester United manager for the first time for the visit of Crystal Palace in December. Brazilian internationalFred was the matchwinner after he scored the only goal of the game in the second half to propel Manchester United to a 1-0 victory over the Eagles.
