Sweden footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic has sent a farewell message to the club’s supporters after reaching a mutual agreement with Manchester United to terminate his contract. The 36-year-old’s final appearance for the Red Devils came in a 2-2 draw versus Burnley on Boxing Day, where he was substituted at the half-way mark.

Following his exit from United, Ibrahimovic posted a thank you message to the fans via Instagram, he wrote: "Great things also come to an end and it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United. Thank you to the club, the fans, the team, the coach, the staff, and everybody who shared with me this part of my history.”
