Fergie Attacked

Police have confirmed Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was attacked at a North London railway station on Monday afternoon.

The vastly experienced and successful Scottish boss had travelled to the capital to attend a function.

However, the 66-year-old was attacked by a man at Euston Station at about 4:30pm, at which time British Transport Police were called to the scene.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with one count each of actual bodily harm, assault and a public order offence.

A police spokesman stated: "We can confirm that one of the victims was Sir Alex Ferguson and he received injuries to his leg."
