Fergie: United in Great Shape

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced they're in great shape to face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Fergie roared: "Points-wise and position-wise, we're in the best shape we've been in all season.

"Arsenal have lost their game in hand over us and they're only a point ahead. This has always been a big month for us. We've always seemed to do well in December, because there are so many games to play and that seems to suit us.

"Arsenal have got 10 games this month, with the game in hand they had and next week's Carling Cup tie at Blackburn. They will really be looking forward to that. I think it might annoy them."
