Holland goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar plans to quit international football after Euro 2008.

The Manchester United custodian turned 37 on Monday and revealed to Dutch radio he is set to retire from international action next summer.

Van der Sar has racked up 121 caps for his country since making his debut against Belarus in June 1995.

"I will stop with the Oranje after Euro 2008," Van der Sar told Radio 538. "The time has come."

Marco van Basten's Holland are one win away from securing their place in the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.
