UNITED TO MISS THE RAFAEL

  • 26 January 2011

Manchester United are set to miss Rafael Da Silva for the FA Cup clash with Southampton. The Brazilian international was stretchered off in the second half with concussion during United’s 3-2 victory over Blackpool on Tuesday after a clash of heads with Marlon Harewood.

He was taken straight to hospital for X-rays after the game and was given the all clear from doctors before returning to Manchester.

However, Manchester United are said to want the correct break from physical contact for Rafael and that means that he will not travel with the rest of the United squad to St Mary’s on Saturday.
